Hiya guys “waves with 2 hands” So I have read a fair few books lately with really cool features so I thought, why not share them with you 🙂

Winger has fun little comics included and I really liked reading them 🙂

To be honest I didn’t love this book as much as everyone else seems to the drawings were my favorite part and the reason why I bought a physical copy 😀

Morgan Matson’s books!

Morgan Matson’s books always include something awesome in them, mainly playlists from what I’ve read:

This lovely book contains footnotes! John worked with a mathimaticion on this book as the MC is a ‘genius’ boy and it’s so good! I especially love this cover. The whole story is just quirky and fun.

This edition of warm bodies has pictures of human organs at the beginning of each chapter all labeled and I thought this was a really cool little feature for a Zombie book

  1. Wonderful list 🙂 You should check out the Sky Is Everywhere! There are little poems scattered within the book found in numerous places – its hard to explain but its so lovely! Also, a particular edition of A Monster Calls has GORGEOUS illustrations!

        1. I know I’ve heard that! I don’t know if I’m just noticing it more but I swear there are ALOT of book to movie adaptations coming out this year and next! It’s good but means I have more books to add to my TBR😆

  2. Illuminae 😍😍😍 I love all the photos in Miss Peregrine’s SO much. I really want to buy physical copies of those because I only have the ebook versions. I love the idea of the playlists in Since You’ve Been Gone! That’s so rad. Some other mixed media books I’ve loved are Asylum by Madeleine Roux and Night Film by Marisha Pessl. Asylum has photos similar to Miss Peregrine’s but they’re of old, abandoned asylums. Night Film has really cool police reports, articles and web pages scattered through out it. It really helped bring the story to life.

    1. I love that these books add a little bit something I only have Amy and Rogers epic detour on ebook but I plan on buying the physical copy because it’s so beautiful! Night Film sound awesome by itself so I’m really happy to hear it has extra fun bits in it ☺️ it’s worth getting the hardcover box set for miss peregrine I think, it comes with photos and the pages are really silky 😁

  3. These are all such great examples of books with little extras in them! I love footnotes, so I was so happy to see that John Green included them in An Abundance of Katherines. I adored the scrapbook-esque feel of Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour, and I had a blast reading Illuminae because it’s basically one big extra feature 🙂 Awesome post!

    1. The footnotes on An Abundance of Katherines were my favorite there so witty and funny 😀 I can’t wait to get my hands on Illuminae! I got an email today telling me it went out of stock so I have to wait even longer for my copy to arrive 😦

      Thank you xx
