GUYS! Guys, so if you don’t already know Aentee over at Readatmidnight has created an amazing ReadAthon for August and it’s about pokemon! ITS POKEMON! Go check out her post and join in. If you’re not one for ReadAThon’s you should still check out the post because her graphics are amazing *heart eyes*
I’m trying to minimize my TBR so I will be using books that I own if I can help it!
MY POKEMON:
I am choosing Eevee ! Okay so I was going to go with Charmander because he’s my favorite and then I was going to go with Magikarp because points, but I how could I just by-pass this amazing little Darling XD When I evolve her I’m going to choose Jolteon just incase anyone was wondering.
A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin 802 pages – 80+CP
Yes I haven’t read the Game of Thrones series, I have watched the TV show and LOVE it so I can’t wait to pick this up and hopefully the whole series.
Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover 367 pages +36 CP
I love CoHo and all her books have the potential for tears so I can’t wait to start this one and tear up, hopefully not ugly cry but its CoHo and I always seem to read the heart wrenching parts in public. To everyone on the 5.10 train I’m sorry I am always a mess it’s not me , it’s the books okay its a little bit me BUT mostly BOOKS.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child 320 pages +32CP
I looked on my shelves to see if I have a hyped book I haven’t read yet and turns out I’ve read them all, opps! I’m a hype train early passenger as soon as it’s out I’ll pick it up right away. As I am buying and reading this book any how my pick is Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Captive Price BY C.S. Pacat 268 pages +26 CP OR You know my Well by Nina LaCour & David Levithan 248 pages +24 CP
I would love to choose Aristotle and Dante discover the universe but if I don’t pick it up asap by instagram friends are going to come after me with burning torches. Instead I’m either going with David Levithan’s You know Me Well OR Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat. I didn’t like Davids book Everyday and I’ve heard some bad reviews for You know me well so I’m undecided at the moment!
Hopeless by Colleen Hoover 410 pages +41 CP I don’t know about you but I feel like once I finsh Maybe Someday I’m going to want some more CoHo so this ones going on the list 😀
The Daughter of Smoke and Bones by Laini Taylor 418 pages +41 CP
I’ve had this series since my birthday Haul so it’s about time I picked it up. I also may read A Clash of Kings so this might double up.
Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin 388 pages +38 CP.
Historical fiction? WWII Tokoyo? A Motorbike race? What is this synopsis of weird and why have I not picked it up sooner. Can’t wait to get into this one.
1984 By George Orwell 268 pages +26CP.
I know what your thinking “As if you haven’t read this yet Casey, and you call yourself a reader!” I know, I know! I should have picked this up a long time ago but I just put it off for unknown reasons.
This read a thon takes place from Sunday the 14th of August to the 4th of October so there is plenty of time to join and create your TBR’s
Oh my god!!!!! A readathon feat. Pokemon? SIGN ME THE HECK UP. This is AMAZING. I am 100% going to do this! You chose some really awesome books too! I really enjoyed Daughter of Smoke and Bone, I hope you do too.

Orwell is on my list too, but it is so close to modern reality that I’m almost afraid to crack the cover! 🙂

Eevee is my absolute favorite! ❤ I hope you enjoy 1984– it's definitely unsettling and kind of disturbing at points, but it's such an eye-opening, gripping read. Best of luck with the readathon!

I love Eevee so much as well plus my dog kind of reminds me of her XD
I’ve heard so many good things about 1984 and hearing about how unsettling it is makes me want to read it more, I feel like I’m going to pinch myself for not reading it sooner once I’ve finished it 🙂

Colleen Hoover’s books must be good. You have multiple titles you want to read?

I’ve been pacing myself with her books because I just love her writing so much, I’ve read 3 of her books so far and I feel like once I read another I’m going to want to pick up something else from her so I played it safe and added two in 😀 If you like romance/NA or even if you want to find a good romance to read I definitely recommend her books! she’s an auto buy Author for me now 🙂
