This book is impossibly cute and full of sunshiney happiness! It had me smiling from the second page.This book is the perfect read if you’re looking for something funny, quick, and light-hearted.

Gia is the top girl at school, class president, prom queen entry, popular etc… and this is her last year before college.

On her Prom night her college Boyfriend breaks up with her because she’s an ignorant ninny head and they part on fairly good terms BUT she’s left without a date and her friends inside already think she was lying about having a boyfriend so she has to pull something together quick.

She grabs the first person she sees, makes them go change and come back pretending to be “Bradley” the boyfriend who was real but is now a lie.

“Do you live close? Because you can’t go in there in jeans and a T-shirt. Especially one with a telephone booth on it.”

This book is full of hard truths and realities that I wasn’t expecting. Gia was inconsiderate and the typical popular girl until she met “Fill-in Brad” I’m not going to say his real name because I enjoyed trying to guess at it so hopefully you will to.

I went into this book blind, only knowing that it had rave reviews and was a summer contemporary.

I loved the Family and friendships in this book as well as all the character development. Every single one of these characters grew up and it was a perfect coming of age story.

I gave this a 4/5 stars.

While I did really enjoy the story Gia was a bit to perfect at times and kind of annoying I loved the side characters a lot more than her.
