The Goodreads Book Tag

So I’m promising myself to be better with completing all my tags and IM TRYING but I have so many back logged tags! That’s doesn’t mean you guys get to stop tagging me in cool things like this cause I love them, I’m just super lazy at posting them XD

Thank you Kirstie Upside Down Books for that tag! I’ve seen this around and wanted to do it for ages 😀

Goodreads is everything to me, I seriously couldn’t survive without it, okay maybe I could but this blog couldn’t. I refer to goodreads on nearly every post I write I’m pretty sure. And it is a life saver in organising my books.

I just started Simon vs. The Homosapiens agenda as a re-read. I’m annotating it and then passing it around to some fellow book bloggers/vloggers so they can annotate it to 🙂 In the end I’ll re read it again with everyones comments!

What was the last book you marked as TBR?

The Likeness by Tana French. Reasons I added:

One: I loved the first book In The Woods and need more of these detective thrillers.

Two: LOOK HOW PRETTY THE COVER IS GAH

What book do you plan to read next?

Blindsighted By Karen Slaughter. I lent this off my Mum because I heard so many people talking about how much they loved Karen Slaughter and then realised my Mum has all of her books, can someone say winning?

Also Slaughter as a last name? Can someone please confirm that this is in fact true and awesome or is it a pen name?

Do you use the star rating system?

Yes, although according to goodreads I rate a lot of books really high, oops? WHat can I say I love all the books XD

Untitled.pngAre you doing a 2016 Reading Challenge?

Am I doing the reading challenge?! OFCOURSE! I have read 136 books out of 150 goal and 51283 pages.

Also I think I know why my rating is so high, everything in my 2/5 stars could probably be in the 1 star category but ah well

Do you have a wishlist?

Yes and only about every single book is on there. I have a wish list on my Book depository account as well as a 2016 TBR shelf that included books I want to buy and read this year.

What book do you plan to buy next?

Probably This Shattered World and Their Fractured Light. I loved These broken stars and I am going to the Gemina signing on Friday so I may as well buy these beauties and get them signed too 🙂

Do you have any favorite quotes? Share a few.

“We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.”
Oscar Wilde, Lady Windermere’s Fan
“You could rattle the stars,” she whispered. “You could do anything, if only you dared. And deep down, you know it, too. That’s what scares you most.”
“Um, because you’re loopier than Flacky McPsycho, Mayor of Crazytown?”
“My databases show no record of this Crazytown of which you speak. A brain the size of an entire city burns inside me. My intelligence quotient is beyond the human scale. I would prefer if you did not refer to me in such a fashion.”
“Oh, poor baby. Did I hurt the mass-murdering psychopathic artificial intelligence’s feelings?”  Amie Kaufman, Illuminae
“No mourners. No funerals. Among them, it passed for ‘good luck.”  Leigh Bardugo, Six of Crows

Who are your favourite authors?

Virginia Andrews (Only the originals not the ghost written stories) Harper Lee, Oscar Wilde, Jay Kristoff, Amie Kaufman, Jodi Picoult, Stephen King, Karen Rose, Sarah J Maas, Leigh Bardugo, J K Rowling oh gosh I need to stop or the list will go on forever! These are all my Auto-Buy Authors 🙂

Have you joined any groups?

Yas, I am on a few groups and I am a Moderator for The Dragon’s Hoard Book Club 🙂

Do you love goodreads? Whats your fave thing about it?

  1. Haha loved your answers! And ooh look at you miss top reviewer on Goodreads. I’m totally jealous, always wanted to crack on to that list but alas, I do not read enough. I so need to start the first book to This Shattered World (I’m having a mental blank on the name).

    1. Thank you! *blushes*
It’s These Broken Stars and I really loved it, I didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much as I did but it’s fantastic! I hope you love it when you pick it up the covers are just to beautiful for life XD

        1. It just means I posted a lot of reviews in that week or month 😀 I mainly get it because I have a heap of shelves and I label the books into multiple things like: Thriller, MPOV, Favourite narration etc… I think that ups your reviews on goodreads.

    1. I go into my about and open all the tags I still have to do and make drafts of everyone, including the questions, title, and who tagged me so when I have some free time I can just go into my drafts and complete a tag 🙂
When I don’t do that I try to do a tag as soon as I get the notification I did it with this one but I don’t do it to much, only with tags that look super quick and spur of the moment 😀

  2. I feel you on being behind on tags!! I haven’t had the chance too catch up on tags but I really want to :’) and omg you’ve read quite a lot this year! I think I only read 60ish books this year, but my goals were only 40 haha considering my 2015 goal was kind of too high for me </3 anyway, I've been planning to read Simons for a while. It's THAT good, isn't it? 😛
