Yeah you read that title right I read everything from romance to horror to middle grade, my reading has no limits, no bounds, and if I don’t reign in these posts you are all going to go crazy seeing me in your feed 24/7 but I just can’t seem to stop. Please some remove my keyboard my hands are starting to cramp.
I love a good Romance I don’t read A LOT of Romance this year but I did read some impossible fantastic ones and yes these are for “adults” or mature readers. If you don’t like sexy bits then these books aren’t for you. To all that are a sap at heart like myself and love a good romance I want to share them with you so I am. I’d like to thank the internet for being here for me in 2016, what would I do with out you? Talk to people in real life about books? DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD THEY TO FIND? I’d rather set out to catch a rare pokemon with a phone on 10% battery, anyhow…
TOP 3 ROMANCE READS OF THE YEAR (also these aren’t books released this year these are books I read this year)
Coming in lucky last* is A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas
This years been a hectic year to call myself a Maas fan because One: The Fandom can be bat shit crazy, and Two: Her books are quite problematic, although I still enjoy them I can see their flaws and I’m hoping she starts being a lot more inclusive and diverse in her next books.
ACOMAF was just such a throw back to the Romance I read when I was a wee teen, some of the language is just so cliché that loved it. Does this make sense to anyone that’s not in my brain?
*Did you guys know that lucky last got its meaning from a story about 2 guys digging for gold? The guy that got to it first was eaten by a tiger and the second guy came in and swept away the winning. That is the most outrages saying origin story I’ve ever read and I’m here for it, new fave saying
Second Place takes the Cake: The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
One of my all time fave characters, I related so much to Lucy, I mean she collects Smurf figurines and so do I, I loved that she had that quirk and this is a classic chic lit romance. Two people working in a publishing firm hating each other and fighting for a promotion but it’s full of hilarity. I can’t wait to see what Sally writes next.
In first place is one of my FAVE romances of all time: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
Hello sexy Scottish men, fast paced plot, historical fiction, OTP of the year. Guys Jamie is the best guy I’ve read all year and the TV adaptation of the novels is actually really good! I went through this 900 page book in 4 days, 4 DAYS! I know I read fast but I had this glued to my hands I just couldn’t stop.
Also give this 100 pages if you do start it and are unsure, it took me a little to get into but it’s now one of my faves.
I am a huge sap and my romance picks act as evidence to that but I just can’t with these romances I love them all so much. What’s your fave Romance of this year? Or fave book couple? Let me know down below
I so need to read The Hating Game!

I don’t read a lot of romance, but this year I’ve picked up quite a few accidentally. What’s A Soulmate? Is more a contemporary, but I want to label it as my favorite Romance of 2016, despite the lack of sexy times. The connections between the characters are just so real!
I haven’t read any of these books yet, but I certainly must try. So many books, so little time!

What’s a soul mate sounds like something I’ll really like! Plus that cover is so pretty XD I’d count myself as mainly a SFF reader but I can’t pass up a good romances 😀

LOVE The Outlander series… though I read most of the series back in 2009. I actually haven’t read the most recent one because its been too long and I feel like I have forgotten everything 😦

There are so many books in the whole series, I’ve only read the first two and own upto book 4 so I do plan on reading them because I just love Jamie *heart eyes* the books are just so long I always have to give myself an extra push to pick them up 🙂
Maybe find some spark notes of the books before you pick up the newest so you can refresh your mind without having to read all the books 🙂

This is why I started taking notes on the books I read this past year lol ESPECIALLY if it is going to be a series where we are waiting for the next books.

Yes! That’s the main reason I do spoilers in my goodreads review so I can remember all the plot twists XD
