The Titan’s Curse #3 Percy Jackson

IT’S NOT EVERYDAY YOU FIND YOURSELF IN COMBAT WITH A HALF-LION, HALF-HUMAN.

But when you’re the son of a Greek god, it happens. And now my friend Annabeth is missing, a goddess is in chains and only five half-blood heroes can join the quest to defeat the doomsday monster.

Oh, and guess what? The Oracle has predicted that not all of us will survive…

“Let us find the dam snack bar,” Zoe said. “We should eat while we can.”
Grover cracked a smile. “The dam snack bar?”
Zoe blinked. “Yes. What is funny?”
“Nothing,” Grover said, trying to keep a straight face. “I could use some dam french fries.”
Even Thalia smiled at that. “And I need to use the dam restroom.”

I started cracking up, and Thalia and Grover joined in, while Zoe just looked at me. “I do not understand.”
“I want to use the dam water fountain,” Grover said.
“And…” Thalia tried to catch her breath. “I want to buy a dam t-shirt.”

How to catch my heart in a book: Use puns. Done Done Done seriously I rate this book 5/5 stars and attribute most of the stars because of that dam amazing pun.

No really The Titan’s Curse has to be my fave so far, I loved the pacing, the storyline, the new myths we are introduced to. Also I mean that quote it just speaks to my soul, a good dam pun will always be my weakness okay I’ll stop now please don’t leave.

In this book Percy and his friends go to help Grover rescue some new half bloods, they meet the huntresses a group run by the goddess of the hunt Artemis and promptly lose Annabeth and Artemis I mean c’mon I know characters like to go missing in these stories but in the first chapter! *rages*

5 people must venture to save Artemis so she can convince the gods on Olympus that the Titans are really reforming and they must prepare for war.

The thing I really loved about this book was all the mythology, we get to met Apollo! Who is one of my fave of the Greek gods even if he does have his problems xD The Huntresses were such great characters and so baddass, I loved Zoe and her old way of talking and of course Percy’s voice he is such a smartass but also growing into himself.

Percy’s voice is what makes this series, he’s funny, he’s running commentary is the best and he is a good person deep down. I mean how couldn’t you love a character that comes out with things like:
“Ever had a flying burrito hit you? Well, it’s a deadly projectile, right up there with cannonballs and grenades.”

5/5 Stars to book 3 of Percy Jackson If you haven’t picked this series up and are wondering if it will be to young for you, I say give it a go the characters grow and mature as the books go along and the adventure and fun gets mixed with evil and a time bomb that is Percy’s fate.

      1. I’m pretty glad that I read this series before I’m 15 since I think this is meant for younger audience as a middle-grade series. But I’ll definitely re-read it when I’m older!
