1. Read more than 1 tome
2. Read a graphic novel (still over 500 pages!)
3. Read a tome that is part of a series
4. Buddy read a tome
5. Read an adult novel

How: I do not know, someone send help and an extra pair of eyes, maybe some more ears too.

Onward to the books I’d like to read:

34466922Sleeping Beauties by Stephen and Owen King – Tome & Adult novel

736 pages someone help. I’ve actually started this in both physical and audio form and some of the writing is just so heavy I’ve been taking breaks from reading it. King has a way of really making you feel emotions while your reading and this book is full of sexism and horrible characters. Of course it’s done for a reason but reading about such argh characters and feeling like your there? Yeah I need to be in the right state of mind for a King book but I really want to finish it before the month ends.

Technically this is a buddy read? I mean a whole book club of people are reading it right now so I’m going to count that as many buddies. I did not realise this was 576 pages?!

I’m excited for it thought because I love superheros and I read nearly no books about them. Give me an evil villain worthy of my admiration, please, please.

 

Aaaand that is it. WHAT CASEY? Not trying to over achieve with this readathon? Who have you been replaced with, some sort of rational human? Ha! Seriously though I have so many other books to read I can’t ditch them for bigger ones that meet the challengers.

    1. His books are so chunky! I started Sleeping Beauties in October too I can usually get through them in a solid week if I dedicate myself to/ am really in the right mood. Do you have your TBR up yet? What King book are you reading 🙂

I am such a slow reader at the moment, I would probably spend the whole period of the challenge on one book! 😀 ‘Sleeping Beauties’ is on my list as well, but I am reading 2 Kings at the moment (Desperation and a short story collection^^) and I think I’ll have a little break after.

    1. Thank you! I might end up doing that, who knows 0.0 I have already started sleeping beauties though so that should help.
      I haven’t read desperation are you enjoying it? I have a bunck of his shorts on my tbr too I need to get to them sometime 😀

    2. hopefully you get your hands on a copy soon, I’m really excited for it and just really hope it can fulfill my lack of superhero books xD Why do we do this to ourselves?! Gah hopefully we both make it through okay XD

  5. Yay Renegades! Honestly hope you love it like I did, but I don’t wanna hype it to you! I feel like the hype will kill this book for a lot of people, even though it’s genuinely good. I’m surprised there aren’t more on your Tome Topple list, pfffft Casey what u doin. XD

    1. It’s definitly better then Sleeping Beauties at the moment I’ve already started and its just a but eh I was expecting it to be a little like Under the Dome which I loved and flew through.. hopefully the second half picks up! Renegades cover is super beautiful I cant wait to start it 😀

  8. Oh man, I wish I could join this readathon!! It’s perfect for me (I read many giant books). Why does this week have to be the busiest week of my life for stupid real life adulting things 😥

    I’m reading Renegades at the moment and am really enjoying that! The powers are really interesting and I love all of the characters.

    1. there is luckily always next time! I love this readathon coz it’s so frequent and helps me read all the books I put off for months at a time xD

  9. XD I wasn’t prepared for a TBR to only contain two books Casey! But I suppose Sleeping Beauties is more like three books in one considering how long it is. My TBR is going up closer to the readathon start date, and I may or may not be slightly cheating with my TBR 😉

    1. RIGHT?! Whats going on with me being reasonable for once XD Running to your page now to hopefully see your TBR it’s started in Aus but you guys are a few hours behind us so eep hopefully we both smash all the books off our TBR 😀
