Monday madness is simply books that taste like coffee.

MMM shares with you the books that made me get up and go, pure page turners, or feel good books that have given me some great insight or just a happy motivated feeling once I have put them down.

*Batman theme song* na na na na na na na na na GRACELING by Kristin Cashore.

Katsa has been able to kill a man with her bare hands since she was eight – she’s a Graceling, one of the rare people in her land born with an extreme skill. As niece of the king, she should be able to live a life of privilege, but Graced as she is with killing, she is forced to work as the king’s thug.

When she first meets Prince Po, Graced with combat skills, Katsa has no hint of how her life is about to change.

She never expects to become Po’s friend.

She never expects to learn a new truth about her own Grace – or about a terrible secret that lies hidden far away…

This book is filed under: Favourite heroines, favourite otp and favorited world.

Everything is on point with this book, the world building, the relationships and the epic plot line and characters. The Graceling’s can be graced with a lot of different things, some as boring as being able to eat there own body weight in food and some as horrifying as mine control and influence. Children are marked as Graced by there mis matched eyes that can change at any time when they are child and have to be forfeited to the king for his own use, of course if there skill is small or unsuitable they are aloud back but are treated as leapers by un graced people.

Katsa our lead female isn’t the nice, beautiful heroine that needs a man, she is fiercely independent and deep with thought provoking opinions and is just everything I could want in a lead MC.

Po our male character is one of my favourite characters in existence, he is funny, loving and humble oh and a total BABE! The world the description, how he treats Katsa and see’s the best in everyone it’s just fantastic.

5 out of 5 stars*****

Highly recommend this and the 2 other books in the series: Fire and Bitterblue, as they are just as amazing. I am planning on giving this a re-read very soon and writing a joint review on all 3.

Hope everyone has a great night and that you don’t have to much of a sugar hang over !

Qotd: What books have you read that have amazingly fierce MC’s ?
