So as it turns out, it’s Tuesday. My computer decided to have an attack yesterday and not connect to the internet so this post is a bit late! Hey it’s still Monday in some parts of the world so here’s to you 12 hour difference!

Manic Monday Madness!

What is Manic Monday Madness? Its just a bit of fun I created to get me to look forward to Mondays. TGIM !

Monday madness is simply books that taste like coffee.

Everyone has a perk of choice some have coffee,others exercise, I usually start my Mondays with waking up early and reading for an extra hour in the morning.

Monday will be my day to share with you the books that have made me get up and go, pure page turners, or feel good books that have given me some great insight or just a happy motivated feeling once I have put them down.

The book that taste like coffee today is *dun dun dun duuuuuuun*

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.

I am not usually a fan of historical fiction but after seeing all the glowing reviews I new I needed to pick this one up!

Outlander started off slow for me but boy did it pick up.

From beautiful scenes, to horrible thrashings, to rape, to epic love, to witch hunting, to battles, to escape plans, to sex scenes, and a marriage falling apart/never happening.

This book can look a bit daunting as it is quite long so you really need to be in the mood to commit yourself to a long read this is not the book to get you out of a reading slump to say the least.

Once you get into the narrators voice and it starts to flow it works so well. I for one absolutely suck at accents but I was talking and reading like a genuine Scots men after 200 pages. Also the TV series is amazing and the casting is so fantastic!
