SO it’s June and I’ve decided to participate in an important fundraiser.
From the 19th of June to the 26th I will be living off the same rations as a Syrian Refugee.
The Act for Peace Ration Challenge works on an honesty policy and I will eat only the contents of the Ration ingredient list for the seven day duration of the challenge, unless I have ‘earned’ other ingredients by achieving my fundraising goals.
My Fundraising goal.
My Goal is $500 and I hope to reach this by the 26th of June. I will be donating all the money I would have spent on groceries which will be around $100 as well as $1 to every $10 pledged.
What will I be eating?
- Rice 1920g
- Flour 400g
- Lentils 170g
- Dried chick peas 85g
- Tinned sardines 125g
- Tinned kidney beans 400g
- Vegetable Oil 300ml
My fundraising mini goals:
- Sponsor yourself and earn a spice or flavouring for the whole week.
- Raise $200 and earn 8 spoons of coffee.
- Raise $300 and earn 170g of extra veggies
- Raise $500 and earned 70g of extra protein.
- Raise $700 and earn 50g sugar.
- Raise $1,000 and earn a bonus item that cost $5
These goals are my own but they are based on the guidelines given by the fundraising page.
If 20 of you amazing people are kind enough to donate $10 to this cause it will help out so so much.
If you skip your coffee and donate that $3 it will make a difference. Any amount helps and if you can’t afford to donate that’s fine just help spread awareness about what is happening in our world at the moment.
