Manic Monday Madness
What is Manic Monday Madness? Its just a bit of fun I created to get me to look forward to Mondays. TGIM !
Monday madness is simply books that taste like coffee.
MMM shares with you the books that made me get up and go, pure page turners, or feel good books that have given me some great insight or just a happy motivated feeling once I have put them down.
Todays a great Monday! One of the best Mondays, It’s a Holiday! Todays labour day in Melbourne. Labour day celebrates the day we regulated work hours to 8 hour days 5 days a week, what a better way to celebrate not having to work 10-12 hour shifts 6 days a week then having ANOTHER day off! haha
In celebration of this glorious Monday I give you the most glorious book:
THRONE OF GLASS by Sarah J Maas
Throne of glass is a story of epic proportions.
After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.
If you haven’t heard of this tory, where have you been? AND you are welcome to exit this post now to go and read this amazing piece of fiction.
I am currently re-reading this as overtime I do I unearth something that makes me love it even more.
Throne of glass kept me awake till 1am and up at 7am just so I could devour this story. Celaena is the ultimate character, snarky, sarcastic, confident and bad ass.
This story is 5 out of 5, its off the charts for me and if I was being held at gunpoint and had to choose my favourite book to live (bibliophiles worst nightmare) it would be this whole series.
Now I’m just waiting on the 5th book (Empire of storms, yes it has a name, yes the name is beautiful. I need a cover reveal AND THE BOOK like:
*sigh* wake me up when September starts.
Hope you guys have a great week! Do you have a favourite you turn to when you hit a reading slump? What is it?
Now I am off to drink a bath of coffee 😊 bye guys!
Great choice. I read it for the first time in January. I instantly fell in love and can’t believe I waited so long to read it.
