Finished series are on one hand sad sad sad because ouch no more character fun and most likely I’m sobbing, but also yes to resolution and hopefully not that many tears but some, because you want a heart wrenching finally. (PLEASE LET THERE BE THREE BOOKS AH THATS WHAT GOODREADS SAYS CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG) These books arn’t master pieces, the plot is jumpy and the writing is really tropey but man if it isn’t the basic for fun to read Young Adult Fantasy I don’t know what is. I’m just enjoying myself so much with this series and I’m super pumped to finish it.

Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff… I shall be crying and rereading please if i dont answer anyones hails in the week of march 10th know i am in a happy painful place. So I started writing this post before I had Obsidio in my hands and now I have already read it and I cried and smiled and cried and it was lovely and painful and EVERYTHING a last book should be.

Does the Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas series finally end this year? Who knows, take me back to teenage Casey who loved smartmouth Celena please. Right now I’ll be happy if there are no sex scenes during a war scene. I’m really only finishing the damn series because I’ve come this far I may as well know how it all ends. I SWEAR IF IT DOES A DIVERGENT GRRRR.

Gentlemans Guide by Mackenzie Lee I assumed was a standalone (and it works as one) BUT the beautifully wonderful Mackenzie Lee is gifting us with Lady Pirates in The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy. This looks is more of a companion book I think? I personally have fingers crossed for more more more in this fantastic world with these fantastic characters written by the fantastic Mackenzie.

Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassie Clare, the shadowhunters are just my loves while I’m reading them. Once I finish I kinda just forget they exist and it’s not till I’m reminded again that I start gushing. GIMME A FINALLY AS GOOD AS THE CLOCKWORK PRINCESS TRILOGY, I DARE YOU.

I *think* these are all the series I’m currently reading that end this year. I may have others I’ve forgotten about but for now I’m happy to have these books destroy me. Are any of these books on your tbr this year? Do you like to finish series? Or are you more of a put of the last book off so it doesn’t end type person?
I think I need to create a little cartoon of myself with a health bar that’s continualy taking hits through out the year so i can keep track of how much authors are killing me with these endings.

I am hoping so bad Thorne of Glass series doesn’t pull a DIVERGENT too! I would be so freaking mad. We need a loophole up in there somewhere! Great post the end of series are the worst I don’t want them to end.

So many good ones. ❤ I'm trying to catch up on the TOG series before the finale. Now that Obsidio has come and gone (and I loved every brutal, painful page), my most anticipated release of the year is Bright We Burn, and I feel like it can't get here soon enough!

I only have Tower of Dawn to read and then I’m all caught up! I have it on my kindle but just haven’t been motivated to read it yet. OBSIDIO WAS BEAUTIFUL AND SAD AND BRUTAL! The end picture? Ow my heart ❤ those characters are the best.
I'm so pumped for bright we Burn! the way everything ended in the last book was crazy and I need more lada in my life.

Great post! I inhaled Obsidio on the weekend – so freaking good. I’m very excited for the Lady’s Guide to come out and ditto for the final of the Nevernight books. It’s not really a series, but I’m really looking forward to the next Hogarth Shakespeare edition which is Macbeth by Jo Nesbo (who better to write that one!)

I feel like the Throne of Glass series is never going to end. Every time we think it will end, Maas will get a book deal for a new companion series. It will go on for the rest of our lives. :p

Frostblood 😍😍😍 I loved the first book so much, despite the plot being a bit wonky at times! I have yet to read Fireblood, but I’m already excited for the last book to come out! 😀

Oooh you’re going to love fireblood even more coz the plot and writing is much improved! Yes the story is just a heap of fun and I’m excited to get the last book! Plus I love that it was all released so quickly and makes a good binge read trilogy
