“She “loved me” in quotations
She kissed me in bold
I TRIED TO KEEP HER in all caps
She left with an ellipsis . . .”
Synopsis taken from Goodreads*
Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.
I started this at midnight deciding to read the first chapter, cut 4 hours into the future and I’m finished. I just want to say what an emotional rollercoaster!
November 9 is a love Insta-love story in all its glory and it is AH-MAZ-ING to anyone that hates insta-love read this masterpiece that Colleen wrote and you’ll have a whole new appreciation. I was gripped by the first page and could not go to sleep without knowing how everything was going to turn out, it’s a romance novel so safe to say it will end happily but with all the plot twists and new discoveries I was kept on the edge of my seat, my emotions pin balling and unable to rest until I discovered the end of Fallon and Ben’s story.
Fallon our lead female is sassy, sexy, insecure, with a dead pan wit that had me laughing out loud and heaps of character development
Ben is a Funny, smart and sexy as hell in that I just woke up way also a totally sweet guy.
That’s all I’m going to say really, if you haven’t read this and love a great love story I beg you to pick this up.
Favorite quotes:
“Sigh”
“Did you just say sigh? out loud? instead of actually sighing?
“Eye roll”
“Don’t stop” I tease in a seductive voice. ” Give me more, Ben. Did you read eBooks or…” I run my finger slowly down his chest.”Hardbacks?”
He pulls his hands behind his head and a smug look washes over his face. “Oh, they were hardbacks, all right. And I’m not sure if you’re ready for this, but…I have my own TBR pile. You should read it, Fallon. It’s huge””
To conclude here is my emotional roller coaster:
Meeting Ben like:
Leaving Ben like: NOOOOOOO
Colleen Hoover ripping out my heart over and over again!
And winning herself back into my heart like:
Well deserved 5 out of 5 *****
I love the “did you just sigh out loud instead of just sighing?” quote, that line alone makes me consider reading it!
