Review of Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater

The 3rd installment of the Raven boys series and by far the prettiest cover!

I love Blue. She sassy, takes no shit and stands up for her loved ones and herself. She is so confident and has a great relationship with those around her. I picture her to look like this:

alice-cullen-twilight-series-20979323-500-500But with a lot more sass and style obviously.

I finished this one a bit quicker then the others which was good but left me wanting a bit more.

Adams better now and no longer be a dick which is veery good.
Ronan is a sweet heart with prickly skin, the moments he shares with Blue are great and I always made me smile even when they bicker. I picture them like this:

Credit to whomever created this! I couldn’t trace it back to the original but it is amazing!

The professor was a good character but I didn’t really see the use for him and the infamous Mr Gray is back to help search for Maura. I don’t know why I have always liked Mr Grey I just feel like he’s very genuine and deserves to be happy.

Blue and Gansey’s relationship is so frustrating! Can we just kiss him already and not worry about the consequences! well maybe not but I need more!

I mean c’mon!
“Blue,” he warned, but his voice was chaotic. This close, his throat was scented with mint and wool sweater and vinyl car seat, and Gansey, just Gansey.

She said, “I just want to pretend. I want to pretend that I could.” !

I figured out why I am not in love with this series ( I mean I love it but I’m not IN love) it is so slow paced! I mean its been 3 books and we’re still in the same year? When are we going to finish the year and get this all wrapped up in a tidy little bow! Can’t wait to get the last book and finally solve all the mysterious and live happily ever after!

4 out of 5 ****

I can’t wait for the next 🙂

You can purchase a copy from book depository here for $13.47 and have it delivered to your door for free!

What do you guys think of this series? Do you find it weird for a whole book series (4 books) to only span over a year? I know I do.

  1. I’ve only read the first book and found the plot lacking in direction. But the awesome characters and atmospheric writing more than makes up for it!
