Every Move by Ellie Marney – Book 3

18516682.jpgRachel Watts is suffering from recurring nightmares about her near-death experience in London. She just wants to forget the whole ordeal, but her boyfriend, James Mycroft, is obsessed with piecing the puzzle together and anticipating the next move of the mysterious Mr Wild – his own personal Moriarty.

So when Rachel’s brother, Mike, suggests a trip back to their old home in Five Mile, Rachel can’t wait to get away. Unfortunately it’s not the quiet weekend she was hoping for with the unexpected company of Mike’s old school buddy, the wildly unreliable Harris Derwent.

Things get worse for Rachel when Harris returns to Melbourne with them – but could Harris be the only person who can help her move forward? Then a series of murders suggests that Mr Wild is still hot on their tails and that Mycroft has something Wild wants – something Wild is prepared to kill for.

HELLO HARRIS *raises eyebrows*

Tempted to leave that line as the full review but its to glorious not to fangirl over further so I shall go on. Spoilers for book 1 & 2 BEWARE

This last book was so intense. We dealt with a lot of the side effects Rach is suffering from nightmares and PTSD symptoms after being kidnapped and tortured, constantly remembering her fingers being smashed. Everytime she had a nightmare about that I cringed and felt like I was reliving that scene over and over again too.

Luckily her bros old friend Harris has left the country and is crashing with them for a bit. Being stuck inside the house with a cast and doing physio has left Rach down so when Harris starts teaching her self-defense she regains some of her confidence back but is still an emotional wreak and suffering.

Her Mums been kept in the dark with everything that happened in England which I was not there for?! Why keep this from her, her daughter was abducted forgodsake she has a right to know what happened and offer support rather than giving her the cold shoulder because of a lie that she just jumped on a flight to London for no real reason. Then shit hits the fan as it always does with Rachel and Mycroft, Wild the man behind Mycrofts parents murder is sending threats in the form of bodies and ready to go to war over the information he believes Mycroft has.

This book, just like the other two: Gripping, page turning, emotionally damaging, and so lovely. Mycroft cracked my heart constantly and Harris decided to break it into pieces I love all these characters so much and this series is now one of my all time favourites.

Spoilers of my fave moments highlight to see:
– Mycroft finally coming to terms with his parents death and breaking down *heart breaking*
– Mycroft punching Harris, I know it was a completely boy thing to do but I found it hilarious
– Rach and her Mum making up ❤
– MIKE BEING SHOT- SHOOT ME INSTEAD I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE rs_500x200-150511134715-tumblr_n4p91soGhq1sep00so8_500.gif
– HARRIS BEING SHOT OW MY HEART

RACHEL SHOOTING MYCROFT WILD
– Why did Ellie do this to me? Stop shooting all my faves XD
– Rach crushing mister trigger happy *round of applause*
– Mycroft being a sneak as always
– Harris being a honey to Rach and not getting all jealous because she loves Mycroft
– Mike being the best big bro
– Her Dad being the best Dad
– Her Mum being the best Mum
– Everything family related ❤
– Mai being such and amazing friend
– Everything really…

I ADORE this trilogy and this last book broke my heart into pieces but it was a good heart-break and I’d do it all over again for these characters.

  1. I’m so bloody excited for No Limits because HARRIS. It’s such an amazing series, I binged read all three within a few weeks and loved them all. I was so conflicted with Harris, I was rooting for him and Rachel at one point. I can’t wait to read his story! Brilliant review Case, totally stoked you loved it too ❤

    1. I WANT IT NOW! I wasn’t shipping them coz I liked Mycroft to much but man I just want Harris for myself, he’s such a tough sweetie xD I had so much fun binge reading the three, I can’t remember the last time I’d done it and it’s awesome not to worry about unfinished series sitting on my shelf 😀
